Role Overview
Pfizer is hiring a Senior Bioprocess Scientist at its flagship biomanufacturing facility in Ringaskiddy, County Cork. You will lead upstream cell culture optimization, bioreactor tech transfers, and downstream purification workflows for life-saving biologics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technology transfer of clinical and commercial biologic candidates into manufacturing suites
- Troubleshoot bioreactor yield deviations and implement statistical process control (SPC) monitors
- Author technical regulatory documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HPRA/FDA audits
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- 4+ years commercial biopharmaceutical manufacturing or tech-transfer experience under cGMP
- Strong expertise operating single-use and stainless steel bioreactors (500L - 2000L)
- Familiarity with HPLC, chromatography purification, and validation protocols
