Role Overview

Stripe is seeking a Principal Cloud Security Architect for its European engineering headquarters at Grand Canal Dock in Dublin. You will establish perimeter defence, zero-trust cryptographic key infrastructure, and automated vulnerability scanning across hundreds of AWS accounts handling millions of daily global transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and enforce global identity, boundary access, and encryption standards across all cloud infrastructure
Automate real-time security posture checks and continuous threat detection engines in Go/Python
Partner directly with infrastructure teams to review new architecture proposals and cryptographic pipelines
Coordinate external audits and compliance certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS Level 1)

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

7+ years in cloud security architecture, infrastructure automation, or systems engineering
Expertise in AWS IAM policies, KMS encryption, Terraform, and Kubernetes security boundaries
Demonstrated experience defending high-throughput financial or SaaS infrastructures
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent technical discipline
